The African Food Network has announced the African Food Summit & Expo 2025, themed “United by Food: Building a Sustainable Future for African Food.”
The event will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, as part of the 5th anniversary celebration of the African Food & Drinks Festival.
The Summit will bring together over 2,000 participants from across the continent in both physical and virtual formats.
Delegates will include policymakers, chefs, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and diaspora voices, all focused on advancing Africa’s food systems and strengthening cultural unity through cuisine.
Africa currently holds 60 percent of the world’s uncultivated arable land, but spends more than 50 billion dollars annually on food imports.

With global demand for African cuisine on the rise, the Summit will address how Africa can turn its food culture into an engine for trade, innovation, and sustainability.
Key speakers include Mr. Obi Asika (Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture), Brian Nwana (Food and Travel Creator, Guinness World Record Holder), and Jenifer Ibrahim (Cool FM OAP and Media Influencer).
Session topics include “Feeding a Continent: Rethinking Food Security for a New Africa” and “The Power of Perception: How Media and Marketing Can Drive the African Food Revolution.”
The Summit will serve as the opening event of the three-day African Food & Drinks Festival 2025 at Harrow Park, Abuja, themed “Five Years. One Continent. Endless Flavor.”
