Pape Wade is proving that African talent can shape the future of artificial intelligence on the global stage.
Born in Senegal and driven by a lifelong ambition to become an entrepreneur, Wade’s journey eventually took him to Quebec in Canada, where his vision for technology and people would come together to create something powerful.
In 2019 he co-founded Airudi, a Montreal based technology company using artificial intelligence to transform how organizations manage their workforce. What began as an ambitious idea has grown into a fast rising AI platform helping companies make better decisions about talent, productivity, and workplace well being.
Airudi develops advanced AI solutions designed to help organizations predict workforce needs, improve recruitment strategies, and strengthen workplace health and safety through data driven insights.
By combining artificial intelligence with human resource expertise, the company helps businesses move beyond traditional HR management toward smarter and predictive workforce planning.
Today Airudi’s technology supports organizations across Canada, Europe, and Africa, enabling companies to optimize operations while building healthier and more productive work environments.
But Wade’s influence goes far beyond building a successful AI company.
He is actively involved in shaping the broader artificial intelligence ecosystem in Quebec and globally. Wade serves on strategic committees connected to leading AI research institutions including Mila, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, and IVADO, organizations focused on advancing responsible and innovative AI development.
These roles place him at the intersection of research, entrepreneurship, and technology policy, where he contributes to conversations about how artificial intelligence should evolve in ways that benefit both businesses and society.
Before launching Airudi, Wade spent nearly a decade building expertise in workforce strategy and workplace health. From 2009 to 2018 he held leadership roles at the consulting firm Drakkar & Associés, where he worked on complex human capital challenges across industries including aerospace, transportation, and defense.
Those experiences became the foundation for Airudi’s core philosophy. Artificial intelligence should not replace people but empower them.
Wade believes the true power of AI lies in helping organizations make smarter decisions while unlocking the full potential of their workforce.
Despite building his career in North America, Wade has remained deeply connected to his African identity. He actively seeks partnerships with African organizations and continues exploring ways artificial intelligence can address workforce challenges across the continent.
For Wade artificial intelligence is not just a technological revolution. It is also an opportunity for African entrepreneurs and innovators to participate in shaping some of the world’s most advanced industries.
From Senegal to Montreal, Pape Wade’s journey reflects the growing influence of African innovators in global technology.
His story is one of ambition, vision, and the belief that the most powerful technologies are those that keep people at the center of progress.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the future of work, Pape Wade stands among the leaders helping ensure that this future remains human.
