Former Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been appointed Senior Strategic Advisor to the Director-General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, marking a significant international role in continental health governance.
The appointment was announced by Africa CDC, the public health agency of the African Union, as part of efforts to strengthen Africa’s health systems and global positioning.

Director-General of Africa CDC, Jean Kaseya, said Osinbajo’s experience across governance, law, finance, and diplomacy would be instrumental in driving policy leadership and institutional reforms within the organisation.
