Seni Sulyman: A Man Who’s Not Just Creating Jobs, but Engineering the Systems That Grow Africa’s Workforce

Seni Sulyman, born Tahir Omoseni Sulyman, is a Nigerian entrepreneur, strategist, and ecosystem builder whose work spans continents and industries.

His journey is not just one of executive titles and company logos, but of deep, intentional impact, building institutions, unlocking talent, and challenging what leadership looks like on the African continent.

He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Talstack Africa, a corporate learning platform reshaping how companies grow by growing their people.

With Talstack, Seni is answering one of Africa’s most urgent needs, talent acceleration, not with theory, but with structure, systems, and scale.

He is also the Founder of Black Ops Africa, a curated community of top African operators, united by a mission to build exceptional companies and cultures from the ground up.

These ventures are not just businesses, they are blueprints for how excellence can be organized and multiplied.

Before blazing his trail in entrepreneurship, Seni began his career at Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant.

He then took on roles at Hewlett-Packard in Silicon Valley, working at the intersection of innovation and execution, and later at CardinalStone Partners in Lagos.

Each stop along the way added a new layer to his vision, preparing him to lead transformational initiatives at scale.

His most visible leadership role came at Andela, where he served as Director of Operations, Country Director for Nigeria, and eventually Vice President of Global Operations.

During his time at Andela, the company expanded into six African countries, built a world-class remote workforce, and was honored with the U.S. Secretary of State’s Award for Corporate Excellence.

In 2018, Andela Nigeria was also named the number one company to work for in Nigeria by Jobberman, a milestone that reflected both impact and integrity under his leadership.

Seni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

His career reflects a rare blend of technical depth, business clarity, and cultural intelligence.

He serves on the board of FATE Foundation, where he supports the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs, staying committed to mentorship and sustainable growth in the startup ecosystem.

In 2020, he was named a Tutu Fellow by the African Leadership Institute, one of the most prestigious recognitions for emerging African leaders.

It was not just an award, but a testament to a lifetime of consistent, principled leadership.

Seni Sulyman is not loud, but his influence is undeniable. He builds with precision. He leads with empathy. And everywhere he shows up, excellence rises.

From Lagos to Boston to Nairobi, he is shaping a generation of builders, thinkers, and leaders who will define Africa’s next century.
