Raymond Bleu-Lainé is a pharmacist and entrepreneur building digital health solutions that make healthcare services more accessible, organized, and efficient across Africa.
As the founder and leader of Société Africaine de Consulting Pharmaceutique (SOCAPHARM), Raymond oversees a healthcare-focused company specializing in pharmaceutical consulting, professional training, healthcare services, and digital health innovation.
Founded in 2016, SOCAPHARM develops technology-driven tools designed to improve how patients and healthcare providers access and manage health services.
Its flagship solution, Ivoire Health, is a prepaid virtual card created specifically for pharmacy expenses. The platform allows users to load funds in advance and pay for medications, pharmaceutical products, and related healthcare purchases within a partner pharmacy network, helping individuals plan ahead for medical expenses and manage their medication budgets more effectively.
Beyond digital health payments, SOCAPHARM also supports healthcare stakeholders through consulting services aimed at solving operational, structural, and growth-related challenges within healthcare organizations. The company further strengthens the sector by delivering training programs for healthcare professionals.
Raymond’s expertise is grounded in both healthcare and business. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland in 2009 and began his professional career as a Pharmacy Manager at Rite Aid, one of the United States’ major pharmacy chains.
He later expanded his pharmaceutical leadership experience internationally, serving as an Oncology Manager at Servier, where he deepened his expertise in healthcare management and pharmaceutical operations.
What distinguishes Raymond Bleu-Lainé is his ability to combine clinical knowledge with entrepreneurial thinking to solve practical healthcare challenges through innovation.
Raymond Bleu-Lainé’s journey reflects a growing movement of African healthcare leaders leveraging technology, expertise, and enterprise to modernize healthcare systems and improve patient access across the continent.
