Amr Abodraiaa is an Egyptian technology entrepreneur whose work is transforming how healthcare systems access critical expertise.
As co-founder and CEO of Rology, he addresses the global challenge of radiologist shortages and the delays they create in patient diagnosis.
His career is built on over fifteen years of experience in technology, product development, and business strategy, all of which have informed his approach to digital health innovation.
Abodraiaa’s journey began at Alexandria University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and production engineering. Seeking to enhance his business acumen, he later earned a professional certificate in business administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.

He started his career in the technology sector in 2007 at Egyptian software developer TownSoft as a marketing manager. This role gave him insight into the operational and commercial aspects of software development and allowed him to contribute to the growth of digital solutions and market strategies.
By 2010, he had been promoted to project manager and business developer, gaining hands-on experience managing technology products while understanding healthcare providers’ and enterprise clients’ needs.
It was during this period that his focus on health technology began to take shape, particularly as he observed hospitals and imaging centers struggling with specialist shortages for interpreting medical imaging exams.

In 2017, Abodraiaa co-founded Rology, a digital platform leveraging artificial intelligence to connect hospitals with qualified radiologists who can analyze medical imaging remotely.
Under his leadership, Rology has expanded its network of radiologists and healthcare partners across Africa and the Middle East, enabling hospitals to access specialist expertise even when local radiologists are unavailable.
Beyond building a successful company, Abodraiaa actively engages in the global discourse on artificial intelligence in healthcare. He participates in industry discussions on using digital technology to improve diagnostics and reduce healthcare inequalities in underserved regions.
