Engr. Goodwill Sunday Asade, a University of Ilorin graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Lagos, has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Meyer Plc, effective March 3, 2026.
His appointment was formally communicated to the Nigerian Exchange Limited, shareholders, and the investing public, positioning him to lead the listed manufacturing firm as it navigates rising input costs, foreign-exchange challenges and operational efficiency pressures.

Asade’s background spans more than three decades across operations, procurement, and corporate leadership roles, beginning with an 18-year tenure at Cadbury Nigeria Plc.
where he advanced through functions including manufacturing, maintenance, plant operations, sourcing strategy and project management, gaining experience in SAP-based source-to-pay transformation initiatives.
He later joined A.G. Leventis (Nig.) Plc in 2013 as Group Procurement Director and was elevated to Chief Operating Officer in 2018 with oversight of sales, marketing, after-sales engineering, truck assembly operations, real estate and fleet solutions, procurement and quality, health, safety and environment.

Asade is a registered engineer with COREN, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management, and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (UK), combining technical and managerial expertise as he takes the helm at the paint manufacturer.
