From the very first chop and sizzle, Oxman Francis has been lighting up kitchens and hearts alike, not just with his culinary skills but with a warmth and humor that make learning food mastery feel like a joyous celebration.

As a distinguished chef, culinary educator, and personal/private chef based in Kaduna, Nigeria, Oxman’s passion for food and lifestyle has made him a leading figure in the culinary world.

With a philosophy grounded in the mantra “iCook, iTeach, iServe, They Eat,” Oxman has dedicated his career to elevating culinary standards, nurturing aspiring chefs, and using food as a tool for unity and cultural exchange.

His remarkable journey reached a historic milestone in September 2024 when he set a new Guinness World Record in Kaduna for the longest marathon cooking lesson, an extraordinary 50-hour continuous session.

This grueling feat, which began on the evening of September 17 and extended into September 19, captured the imagination and support of Kaduna residents, celebrities, culinary experts, and socialites alike, all rallying to cheer the chef through his record-breaking endeavor.

Driven by an unwavering passion for culinary education, Oxman has spent over four years teaching what he calls the “10 Commandments of Food,” guiding and inspiring more than 800 students across Nigeria.

His infectious spirit and easygoing style have transformed what could be a daunting experience into an exciting journey for over 800 students, proving that cooking is as much about laughter and connection as it is about technique.

His marathon cooking lesson was not only a testament to his endurance and skill but also a powerful platform to foster peace, promote cultural understanding, and break down regional barriers through the universal language of food.

Oxman’s event attracted students from distant cities including Maiduguri, Sokoto, Katsina, Jos, Abuja, and Zaria, who stayed together for ten days, sharing stories and culinary skills while building bridges across diverse backgrounds.

His commitment to culinary excellence extends beyond personal achievement; he envisions organizing similar events across Nigeria’s northern states to continue promoting peace and unity through food.

Despite challenges, including coordinating with international bodies and securing adequate funding, Oxman’s resilience and vision prevailed.

He publicly acknowledged the vital support from the Kaduna State Government and the local community, whose encouragement played a crucial role in the event’s success.

As a culinary educator and chef, Oxman Francis embodies dedication, innovation, and social impact.

His story inspires chefs and food lovers alike, proving that food is not just sustenance but a powerful agent for education, cultural connection, and positive change.
