Nigeria releases emergency contacts for citizens across the Middle EastThe Federal Government has released emergency contact numbers for Nigerian citizens residing in countries across the Middle East amid escalating regional tensions.

The advisory was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and signed by the ministry’s spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa.

It is aimed at ensuring that Nigerians living in or travelling through the region can quickly reach Nigerian diplomatic missions for assistance during the ongoing security crisis.

According to the ministry, the emergency contact list covers Nigerian embassies and consulates across several Middle Eastern countries affected by the growing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

The government urged Nigerian nationals in the region to maintain communication with diplomatic missions and ensure they are properly registered with the nearest embassy or consulate.

Authorities also advised Nigerians to remain calm, comply with directives from local authorities, and closely monitor security developments while the situation continues to evolve.

The missions have been placed on alert to provide consular assistance and coordinate possible evacuation arrangements if necessary.
