The London Stock Exchange opened its market today to welcome Africa Tech Summit London 2025, marking the fifth consecutive year of collaboration between the two institutions.

This ceremonial kickoff signaled the start of the ninth edition of the Summit, which continues to serve as a vital platform connecting Africa’s tech ecosystem to global capital.

First launched in 2016, Africa Tech Summit was created to close the gap between African ventures and international investors.

Since then, it has grown into a leading global series, facilitating over 20 high-level events and engaging more than 20,000 stakeholders, including startups, scale-ups, corporates, governments, and venture capital firms.

This year’s London edition brings together more than 300 investors, founders, and ecosystem leaders to explore strategies for scaling, economic resilience, and unlocking new opportunities across the African tech space.

A key moment of the summit is the Investment Showcase, where investment-ready ventures from across the continent will pitch to global funders.

The 2025 summit is supported by a range of prominent partners, including the London Stock Exchange, Amazon Web Services, Bank of America, Fincra, Goodwin, Flutterwave, Tola Mobile, the UK Department for Business and Trade, Payaza, Wimbart, and TLP Advisory.

While the London Stock Exchange plays a key role in fostering connections between African innovation and global capital markets, the organization also noted a temporary notice for users:
