JAMB Releases Major Update on Mock UTME 2026, Tells Candidates What do

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the portal for candidates to print their notification slips for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as of Monday, March 23, 2026.

This update is specifically directed at candidates who indicated interest in the mock exercise during their initial registration process.

These individuals are now required to access the official JAMB website to confirm their examination centers, session times, and specific reporting requirements for the upcoming test scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026.

In a departure from previous years, JAMB has adjusted the mock examination duration to four hours to allow candidates more time to navigate the Computer-Based Test (CBT) software and familiarize themselves with the digital environment.

The examination sessions are divided into two blocks, with the first session beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the second at 10:30 a.m.

Candidates must print their slips by visiting the JAMB portal, selecting the 2026 mock slip printing option, and entering their registration number or email address to download the document.

The board emphasized that candidates should locate their assigned CBT centers within their respective examination towns ahead of Saturday to prevent logistical delays.

JAMB maintains a strict prohibition on electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators, and watches, within the examination halls.

While the Mock UTME serves as a critical technical rehearsal for both the board and the students, the scores obtained in this exercise are not added to the final UTME results.

The main UTME window remains scheduled to run from April 16 to April 25, 2026. Security measures have also been heightened across all centers following the discovery of AI-driven attempts to bypass registration protocols.
