International Breweries Nigeria PLC has announced the resignation of its Managing Director and member of the Board, Mr. Carlos Coutino.
According to the company, his resignation takes effect from March 1, 2026.The announcement was disclosed in a formal notice signed by the Company Secretary, Temitope Oluwatosin, and addressed to shareholders, the investing public, and the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

The company noted that Mr. Coutino will be stepping down from his role as Managing Director as he moves on to another leadership position within the AB InBev group.
Mr. Carlos Coutino joined International Breweries in 2018 and progressed through several leadership roles within the organization.
He was appointed Managing Director and Business Unit President on January 1, 2023. During his tenure, the company recorded significant milestones, including achieving its highest-ever sales volume and market share.

Under his leadership, International Breweries also returned to profitability after six years of restructuring and operational challenges.
The Board of Directors expressed appreciation for Mr. Coutino’s contributions, leadership, and commitment to the growth of the company, while wishing him success in his next role within the AB InBev business.
In the same announcement, the Board approved the appointment of Mr. Nicholas Kade as the new Managing Director of International Breweries Nigeria PLC, with effect from March 1, 2026. The company stated that the transition is expected to ensure continuity in leadership and sustain the company’s strategic objectives.
