Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, has stressed the importance of Ghana and Turkey working closely to increase trade volumes between the two nations, expressing a renewed commitment to surpass the USD 1 billion trade target ahead of the 2027 timeline.
Mr. Ahi made these remarks while attending the Turkey–Africa Business and Economic Forum, held from October 16 to 17, 2025, in Istanbul, Turkey, and reported by Citi Newsroom.

The high-level forum convened government officials, business leaders, and investors from across Africa and Turkey to explore opportunities for economic cooperation, trade expansion, and sustainable investment partnerships.
On the sidelines of the event, Mr. Ahi held bilateral discussions with Turkey’s Deputy Minister for Trade, Hon. Mustafa Tuzcu, focusing on strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The talks emphasized developing strategic frameworks to promote mutual economic growth and industrial development.
The engagement reaffirmed both nations’ shared commitment to building a forward-looking trade partnership that enhances private sector collaboration and supports sustainable industrial advancement.
