In this interview, Amb. Austine shares his journey, insights, and vision for the future, offering inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and realtors alike.

CA: Amb. Austine, your journey as a visionary entrepreneur and real estate leader is truly inspiring. Can you take us back to how it all began? What inspired you to build Upwey Global Investment Ltd?

Austine: Thank you so much. My journey into real estate started from a deep desire to help people create wealth legitimately and sustainably.

There’s a saying by Ziglar which has now become one of my all-time quotes: “If you can help enough people get what they want, you will always get what you want in life.”

I’ve always been passionate about empowerment, seeing people move from lack to abundance, from confusion to clarity. Before real estate, I was deeply involved in tech-enabled enterprises and I sold all kinds of stuff as a young boy.

Growing up, I even sold information in the area of personal development, and I saw how information and access to opportunity could change lives.

So, when I discovered the power of real estate as a vehicle for generational wealth, I knew I had found my calling.

That was how Upwey Global Investment Ltd was born, to empower people, create wealth, and transform lives. We didn’t just want to sell properties; we wanted to raise wealth creators through real estate.

CA: Wow, that’s truly inspiring! Carving out a path as a visionary leader in real estate and business empowerment takes grit and vision. What was your journey like, and were there any key mentors or role models who guided you along the way?

Austine: Honestly, it hasn’t been a smooth ride. My journey was filled with trials, doubts, and several moments of “God, am I sure I’m doing the right thing?” But through it all, I kept believing that there was a purpose bigger than me.

I drew inspiration from great minds like Jim Rohn, Dr. Myles Munroe, and many others who taught me about purpose and leadership, and from mentors and role models within the real estate and network marketing space who showed me what’s possible when you combine vision with discipline.

I read a lot of books, listened and watched all kinds of helpful educational videos on a daily basis, and attended trainings upon trainings, and I am still doing that. Because the day you stop investing in your personal development is the beginning of your decline in life and business.

Each stage of my growth had a teacher, sometimes a person, sometimes a painful experience. But all of them shaped me into the leader I am today.

CA: I can imagine those early days weren’t easy. The real estate industry can be both rewarding and challenging. What were some of the toughest moments you faced in your early days, and how did you push through them?

Austine: In the beginning, one of my toughest moments was gaining trust. People were skeptical. The industry was flooded with fake agents and fraudulent deals, so convincing clients that we were different was tough.

There were also times when deals failed, developers disappointed, and we had to start from scratch financially. But through prayer, consistency, and integrity, we built credibility over time.

I learned early that storms don’t come to destroy you, they come to build your character.

CA: That’s powerful. Upwey Global Investment has achieved impressive milestones, from generating over ₦1 billion in property sales to helping hundreds of Nigerians own legitimate properties. What do you believe has been the secret behind that level of success?

Austine: The secret has always been people and purpose. We don’t just sell land; we sell a vision. Every realtor on our team is trained to understand that they’re not just selling properties, they’re changing destinies.

We built a strong network marketing model that rewards teamwork, mentorship, and empowerment. And most importantly, we anchored everything on integrity and transparency. When people can trust you, business becomes easy.

CA: That makes so much sense! As a coach and mentor, you’ve inspired countless realtors to dream bigger and achieve more. What inspired you to share your knowledge and experiences with others through mentorship and training?

Austine: Because I know what it feels like to start with nothing but a dream. I remember those early days when all I needed was just one person to believe in me or show me the way. So, I made up my mind that whenever I rise, I’ll raise others.

Mentorship for me is not a program, it’s a ministry. Every time I train or coach someone, I see it as planting seeds of greatness. Nothing gives me joy like seeing my team members grow from zero to making millions, or seeing an ordinary person or a young person become a property owner. That’s true success for me.

CA: Absolutely inspiring! Your background in tech and e-commerce clearly influences your innovative approach to business and marketing. How has that shaped the way you lead in the real estate industry today?

Austine: It has shaped everything. Technology taught me leverage, automation, and systems thinking. In today’s real estate world, if you’re not tech-driven, you’ll soon be left behind.

I use digital tools to build visibility, automate sales processes, and train realtors faster and better. That’s why we run challenges, summits, and online campaigns—because we understand that visibility is profitability.

My tech background helps me merge traditional real estate wisdom with modern marketing intelligence.

CA: That blend of tech and traditional wisdom is impressive. You’ve received numerous awards and recognitions for your excellence and leadership, including the Wealth Creator Award and the Leadership Award. How does it feel knowing your leadership and platform are transforming lives across Nigeria and Africa?

Austine: It’s humbling and fulfilling at the same time. Every award reminds me that God is faithful and that lives are being changed. I don’t see awards as personal achievements, I see them as testimonies of grace and impact.

Each recognition pushes me to do more, to reach more people, and to create more platforms for growth. The joy for me is when people walk up to me and say, “Amb. Austine, because of your teaching, I closed my first deal or bought my first property.” That’s the real reward.

CA: That’s truly impactful. With so much success already achieved, what’s next for you? Are there any upcoming projects or initiatives you’re particularly excited about?

Austine: Yes, definitely. We’re expanding our real estate network marketing into more states in Nigeria and launching Upwey Realtors Academy, a platform designed to raise the next generation of real estate leaders.

We’re also working on digital wealth creation programs that will help more Nigerians in the diaspora invest safely back home. My long-term vision is to make Upwey a global brand that represents trust, excellence, and empowerment.

CA: Before we wrap up, what’s one common misconception about real estate, entrepreneurship, or wealth creation that you’d like to correct?

Austine: Many people think wealth creation is about luck or connections. That’s not true. Wealth is built through knowledge, discipline, and consistency.

In real estate, for example, some people think they need millions to start. But the truth is, what you need first is the right information and access, and you cannot get the right information if you just assume or don’t ask the right questions. When you start with knowledge and build quality relationships, the money will come.

CA: Finally, if you could give just one piece of advice to young entrepreneurs and aspiring realtors who dream of making an impact, what would it be?

Austine: Start where you are, with what you have, and stay consistent. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect, take that first step. Learn, grow, and never give up.

And most importantly, anchor your dreams on God. Because when grace meets hard work, greatness becomes inevitable.
