South Africa’s Northam Platinum (NPHJ.J) reported on Friday a 14.4% decline in annual profit, as a sharp increase in mining costs outweighed record sales volumes, according to Reuters.

Headline earnings per share dropped to 3.81 rand ($0.2169) for the year ended June 30, down from 4.45 rand a year earlier.
The miner declared a final dividend of 2 rand per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 2.15 rand.
