Born on 29th October 1996, in Lagos, Nigeria, Prudent’s early life was shaped by financial challenges that limited her educational opportunities.

Despite excelling academically, she couldn’t afford university entrance exams and worked various menial jobs, including waitressing, to support herself and her family.

Her passion for fashion ignited in 2018 when she decided to learn tailoring to mend her own clothes.

This self-taught endeavor quickly evolved into a thriving business as she began creating and selling designs, gaining recognition for her unique style and dedication.

In 2019, Prudent founded Prudential Atelier, a fashion brand known for its bespoke bridal wear, ready-to-wear collections, and modest fashion pieces.

Her designs have graced the wardrobes of notable personalities, including gospel singer Mercy Chinwo for her traditional wedding in 2022, and other celebrities such as Tim Godfrey’s crew, Peggy Ovire, Liquorose, and Mabel Makun.

Her clientele spans across Nigeria, the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia.

Recognizing the need to empower others, Prudent established Prudential Fashion Academy in 2020, where she serves as Owner and CEO. The academy has since trained over 5,000 aspiring designers, equipping them with skills to succeed in the fashion industry.

In addition to her work as an educator, she is the Creative Fashion Designer at Prudential Styling, delivering both Ready-to-Wear (RTW) collections and children’s fashion pieces under @the_prudentgabriel and @prudentgabriel_kids. Her commitment to mentorship extends beyond the classroom, as she actively supports her students’ growth and success.
