Ademola Odewade is a leading finance strategist, media voice, and AI-driven business thinker based in Lagos, Nigeria, whose work is reshaping how modern founders understand growth, visibility, and financial intelligence. His journey reflects deliberate evolution, from the structured world of PwC and KPMG into building a global platform that connects finance, leadership, media, and AI into one powerful ecosystem.
What sets him apart is not just expertise, but his rare ability to turn complexity into clarity that business leaders can act on. In a world where financial data often feels disconnected from real decisions, he bridges that gap, translating numbers into strategy and strategy into scalable impact.
Through K-Dems Consulting and his globally ranked podcasts, he continues to help founders move from understanding their businesses to positioning them for visibility, trust, and growth at scale.
His work blends mindset, systems, and execution around one core idea: clarity drives growth more than intelligence. From advising businesses to speaking with global leaders, Ademola is redefining leadership in an AI-driven world.
In this interview, we explore his journey, ideas, and the principles shaping his influence across more than 100 countries.

CA: Ademola Odewade, you’ve built a powerful intersection between finance, leadership, media, and AI. Take us back to the beginning, what first pulled you into finance and business strategy, and how did that foundation evolve into the global platform you’ve built today?
That’s a strong foundation to start from… so finance was never just about numbers for you, it was something deeper?
Ademola: I was drawn to finance because it is the language of decision-making. Early on, I realised money is not just numbers. It is behaviour, strategy, and power.
That foundation evolved through PwC and KPMG where I saw how financial clarity separates businesses that survive from those that scale.
Today, I operate at the intersection of finance, media, and AI because influence without financial intelligence is fragile, and financial intelligence without visibility is invisible.
Mindset: Think in systems
Skillset: Translate numbers into strategy
Toolset: Use media and AI to scale impact globally
CA: That’s a powerful beginning. You founded K-Dems Consulting at the intersection of finance, tech, and media. What inspired you to build it?
Ademola: K-Dems was born out of a gap I kept seeing. Brilliant founders with strong ideas but weak financial positioning and zero strategic visibility. I built K-Dems to solve that.
We don’t just fix finances. We position businesses to be seen, trusted, and paid at scale. It is finance, tech, and media working as one engine.
CA: Interesting. Your experience at PwC and KPMG exposed you to high-level systems. How has that shaped your thinking about leadership, financial strategy, and business growth?
Ademola: PwC and KPMG gave me precision. They taught me how to see risk before it becomes a problem and how to structure growth before chaos sets in.
But more importantly, they showed me what large organisations do well and what they miss. I took the discipline, removed the bureaucracy, and applied it to founders who need speed, clarity, and results.
CA: That shift from corporate structure to agile impact is powerful. Your podcasts, “The King Dems Podcast and Diary of a CFO”, rank globally in the top 2% and 3% of shows respectively. What gap did you see in business and leadership conversations that made you start them?
Ademola: Most business conversations are either too theoretical or too shallow. I saw a gap for real conversations with real operators. People building, scaling, failing, and evolving in real time. The King Dems Podcast and Diary of a CFO exist to bridge that gap. We make elite thinking accessible and actionable. That is why we are in the global top 2% and top 3%.
CA: That makes sense… You’ve interviewed world-class leaders, CFOs, and futurists. What’s one insight from those conversations that fundamentally changed how you see business or leadership?
Ademola: The biggest shift was this: clarity beats intelligence. I’ve interviewed world-class leaders, and the difference is not how smart they are. It is how clear they are on what matters. Clear priorities. Clear communication. Clear execution. Everything else follows.

CA: Absolutely, clarity over complexity. Many professionals struggle to translate complex financial strategy into real business decisions. How does it feel knowing you bridge that gap, helping them simplify complexity without losing depth or accuracy?
Ademola: I focus on translation. Finance is only powerful when it can be understood and acted on. So I break it down into decisions, not jargon. Revenue. Profit. Cash flow. Risk. If a founder cannot explain their numbers in plain language, they do not understand their business. My role is to make complexity usable without losing depth.
CA: That ability to simplify without diluting depth is rare… but visibility at scale comes with its own challenges. What has been your biggest challenge building a global authority platform across finance, consulting, and media, and how did you navigate it?
Ademola: Noise. The world is crowded with content but starved of clarity. The challenge was not visibility. It was meaningful visibility. I solved it by focusing on authority over volume. Consistent high-value conversations, strategic positioning, and systems that compound.
CA: Your work strongly connects mindset, skillset, and toolset. Which of these do you think most professionals underestimate today, and why?
Ademola: Toolset. Everyone talks about mindset and skillset, but very few leverage the right tools. AI, media, and systems can compress years of growth into months. The right tool in the wrong hands is wasted. The right tool in the right hands is exponential.
CA: That’s a strong reminder about leverage… With your growing influence across 100+ countries, how do you stay grounded and intentional about the impact you want to create?
Ademola: I stay anchored to purpose. Impact over ego. Every conversation, every episode, every strategy is built around one question:
Does this create real value for someone building something meaningful? That keeps me focused.
CA: Before we wrap up, what’s next for you and K-Dems Consulting? Are there any upcoming expansions, collaborations, or long-term goals you’re currently building toward?
Ademola: Expansion. We are scaling the ecosystem. More strategic partnerships, more high-level collaborations, and deeper integration of AI into business growth systems. We are also building platforms that turn visibility into revenue for founders at scale. The goal is simple. From global top 2% to category defining authority.

CA: That’s a bold vision… and finally, if you could leave one piece of advice for future finance leaders and entrepreneurs, what would it be?
Ademola: Stop waiting to feel ready. Clarity comes from action, not thinking. Build. Learn. Adjust. And remember this: If you don’t position yourself, the market will position you.
