Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has taken to social media to tender a sincere and public apology to fellow actress Mercy Johnson Okojie, her children and family, following a long‑running feud that drew widespread attention both online and in the courts.
In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page, Okorie began by acknowledging her imperfections and thanking her supporters worldwide for their encouragement.
She explained that the message was specifically directed at Mercy Johnson and her household, admitting that misunderstandings and conflicts over the years had been fueled by gossip and third‑party interference as they both navigated their careers in the movie industry.
Okorie openly expressed regret for any hurtful words or social media posts she made about Johnson, stating she was deeply sorry for comments that may have caused distress.
In her statement, she categorically retracted harmful labels, including past implications that Mercy Johnson was a “witch”, and emphasised that such accusations were unfounded and hurtful.
“You are not a witch, you are not what people are calling you,” she said, reinforcing her commitment to peace and understanding.
The actress also spoke about the wellbeing of their children, highlighting how personal disputes between adults can inadvertently affect young lives.

She said their kids might one day cross paths and even become friends, and as parents, they cannot control those future relationships.
Okorie condemned any form of bullying directed at children and vowed to act differently moving forward.
Okorie described the apology as a fresh beginning and stressed that she would no longer allow rumours or negative talk to influence her views of Mercy Johnson.
She shared that they have already spoken privately and exchanged apologies, with Johnson accepting hers wholeheartedly.
Okorie concluded the video with prayers for Johnson’s continued success and blessings, reaffirming her love and respect for her colleague.
This public gesture follows a period of legal challenges for Okorie, including an arrest linked to alleged cyberbullying and her subsequent release on bail, making her appeal for reconciliation a notable moment in their ongoing saga.
