Jennifer Etito Oyubu is not your average digital creator, she’s a powerhouse of influence, creativity, and raw execution.
From posting consistently while juggling a 9–5 job to becoming the IG Goddess of Ads and a multi-award-winning influencer, Jennifer’s rise didn’t start with a strategy. It started with a spark, a love for content creation and a willingness to show up, day after day, even when no one was watching.
She didn’t have much capital. No fancy equipment. No mentors holding her hand. What she did have was consistency. Vision. Grit. And a deep desire to build something real.
Her story isn’t just about algorithms or aesthetics, it’s about audacity. About leaving the safety of a 9–5 after earning her first million and choosing to bet on herself fully.

Jennifer doesn’t just run ads, she rewrites narratives.
She doesn’t just teach marketing, she empowers a generation of women to show up boldly and profitably in the online space.
Today, she’s the founder of Naija Brand Influencer (NBI), a digital learning platform that’s helped thousands of business owners increase visibility, convert content into customers, and step into their CEO era with confidence.
In this exclusive interview, Jennifer shares the unfiltered truth about her rise, the fears she had to silence, and why her mission now is rooted in community, clarity, and content that converts.
CA: Jennifer, your journey as a brand influencer and digital marketing coach is truly inspiring. Can you take us back to where it all began?
Jennifer: Thank you so much. Honestly, I didn’t plan any of this. I didn’t wake up saying, “I want to become a brand influencer or digital marketing coach.” I was just having fun on social media, creating content and posting consistently even while working a 9–5.
I had no real strategy in the beginning; I was just showing up. Over time, people started trusting me. I started getting results, and before I knew it, I had carved a niche for myself in social media marketing and influencing. That’s how it all started, pure consistency, even when I wasn’t sure where it would lead.
CA: Interesting! Breaking into the digital marketing space is no small feat. What was your journey like, and were there any key mentors or role models who guided you along the way?
Jennifer: Honestly, It was a journey of self-discovery and grit. I didn’t have a personal mentor guiding me through every step. But I studied people I admired, watched how they moved, and took mental notes.
I learned from observation, experience, and plenty of trial and error. I also learned a lot from my clients along the way. Feedback became my teacher, and the challenges shaped me into the marketer I am today.
CA: That’s such a powerful journey of self-made growth and learning! Digital marketing is constantly evolving and highly competitive. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced while building your career, and how did you navigate them?
Jennifer: One of the toughest challenges was building trust and visibility in a very noisy space. Another challenge was making the bold decision to resign from my job in January 2021 after working for three years.
It was a scary leap, but I had made my first million by then, so I trusted myself and my journey. Also, in this industry, imposter syndrome is real, especially when you’re watching others rise. But I had to silence that voice and keep showing up, knowing that my consistency would eventually pay off.
CA: Courageous! Your career has been built on hard work and persistence. What kept you motivated, especially during the tough early days?
Jennifer: Honestly, My vision and my son. Yes.. I knew I didn’t want to live an average life or raise my child in survival mode. I wanted to create impact, build something real, and inspire others through it.
Every time I felt discouraged, I reminded myself why I started. I’ve always believed that purpose fuels persistence. That’s what kept me going.

CA:That’s incredibly heartfelt and grounding. Thank you for sharing that. How has your background and experience shaped your approach to creating effective marketing strategies and teaching others through your coaching programs?
Jennifer: Because I didn’t have any special connections or huge capital starting out, I understand what it means to build from scratch. That’s why my strategies are practical, not theoretical. I teach what I’ve lived.
I know what it means to try everything and still not get results, so I focus on helping people simplify their process, understand their audience, and become visible in a way that’s sustainable and real.
CA: You’ve impacted thousands of businesses and trained many aspiring entrepreneurs. How does it feel knowing that your journey is paving the way for others in digital marketing?
Jennifer: It feels surreal. Every time I get a message from someone saying, “Jennifer, I got my first customer,” or “You inspired me to start,” it just reminds me that this journey was never just about me. It was about building something that could light the way for others. That alone makes everything worth it.
CA: From influencer to mentor, you’ve taken on the role of a guide for the next generation of digital marketers. What inspired you to start mentoring and sharing your knowledge through platforms like Naija Brand Influencer?
Jennifer: I created Naija Brand Influencer because I saw the gap. I saw business owners struggling with visibility, with sales, and with confidence in their brands.
I knew what it felt like to be in that position, so I decided to become the solution I once needed. NBI became a platform where I could pour out everything I had learned and help others succeed faster and easier than I did.
CA: What’s next for you in your career? Any exciting projects or milestones that you’d like to share?
Jennifer: Yes, I’m excited about this next chapter! I’m building a strong community where online business owners can come together, support each other, and grow together. It’s going to be a safe space for learning, networking, and scaling.
I also plan to travel across countries to host online classes and workshops on content creation and marketing. I want to reach people globally, teach them how to build profitable brands online, and create ripple effects of success. It’s all about community, impact, and expansion for me now
CA: That’s Powerful! As someone deeply involved in social media and paid advertising, what’s one common misconception about media buying or digital marketing that you think needs to be cleared up?
Jennifer: One big misconception is that media buying is just about boosting posts or throwing money into ads to get sales. That’s false.
Paid ads will only amplify what you already have. If your content isn’t strong, if your offer isn’t clear, or if your targeting is off, ads won’t save you. Marketing is a system, it’s strategic. You have to get the foundation right before expecting magic from paid traffic.

CA: Lastly, for anyone dreaming of making an impact in the digital marketing space but unsure where to start, what’s one piece of advice you’d give them today?
Jennifer: Start with what you have. Don’t wait to have everything figured out. The truth is, clarity comes from doing. Show up, add value, share what you know, and be consistent.
There’s space for you in this industry, but only if you believe in yourself enough to start, even if it’s messy. Your growth will come in stages, but you have to take that first step.
