Nigerian disc jockey DJ Tunez has broken his silence following a viral altercation with Afrobeats star Burna Boy, alleging that he was physically assaulted during the incident.
The clash, which reportedly occurred at a nightclub in Lagos, quickly gained traction online after videos surfaced showing a chaotic physical confrontation involving both camps.
Reacting via social media, DJ Tunez claimed he was attacked by multiple time linked to Burna Boy.
He alleged that the singer struck him from behind and that he was outnumbered during the fight.
According to his statement, “you hit me in the back of my head… 1 vs 10, and I stood my ground,” describing the situation as an unfair group assault.
Eyewitness accounts and circulating footage support claims that the altercation escalated rapidly, with DJ Tunez reportedly overwhelmed and beaten during the scuffle.
The incident has since triggered backlash within the entertainment industry. The Nigerian DJ Association condemned the violence and announced a temporary ban on playing Burna Boy’s music while an investigation is ongoing.
