More than just a content creator, Tayo is a visionary filmmaker and entrepreneur, capturing the essence of the continent through his lens and inspiring a new generation to see Africa through a fresh perspective.

Born on December 9, 1992, in Lagos, Nigeria, Tayo’s journey began in the heart of the city. He attended Ifako International Secondary School before pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Real Estate from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, graduating in 2015.

Post-graduation, Tayo’s path was unconventional.

He took on roles as a web developer and salesman, but it was during his seven-month stint as an Uber driver in Lagos that he truly connected with the city’s rhythm.

This experience ignited his passion for storytelling, leading him to capture the city’s landmarks and vibrant culture through photography and videography.

In April 2015, Tayo launched his YouTube channel, “Tayo Aina Films.” By July 2019, he committed full-time to content creation, using his savings to fund his vision.

His dedication paid off; as of 2023, his channel boasts over one million subscribers, with videos spanning travel, lifestyle, and cultural narratives that challenge stereotypes and celebrate Africa’s diversity.

Tayo’s storytelling prowess has garnered international recognition.

In 2022, he was honored with The Future Awards Africa Prize for Content Creation.

His collaborations include features with renowned artists like Davido and Adekunle Gold, further amplifying his influence.
