Temidayo Oyegoke has been awarded the 2024 Crest Africa Product & Brand Design Excellence Award, recognising his contributions to product design, brand systems, and digital storytelling across fintech, e-commerce, and civic technology.
The recognition reflects his role in shaping digital experiences that drive measurable business outcomes and user engagement across multiple African markets.
Crest Africa, a pan-African platform dedicated to spotlighting professionals delivering verifiable impact, stated that the selection was conducted through a structured, merit-based evaluation process, with final decisions made by an independent judging panel.
Temidayo’s work stands out for its ability to bridge creativity with performance. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for translating complex digital products into intuitive and scalable visual systems.
His contributions have supported major business outcomes, including design work linked to an $8.5 million seed funding round and campaigns that delivered over 618,000 orders within a 48-hour period, demonstrating the commercial value of effective design execution.
Speaking on the recognition, Temidayo said, “This award represents the value of intentional design. For me, design is not just about visuals. It is about solving real problems, improving user experience, and creating systems that scale across markets.”
His career includes leading roles across organisations such as Code for Africa, Pesa, Zone Payment Network, and Konga. At Code for Africa, he led the development of scalable design systems that improved engagement and increased content shareability by over 35 percent.
His work on product redesign initiatives also reduced internal design turnaround time by up to 60 percent, enabling faster delivery and improved collaboration across teams.
A representative of the Crest Africa Awards Panel noted that Temidayo distinguished himself through a combination of creative direction and measurable impact. “Temidayo’s work reflects a clear understanding of how design drives performance. His contributions go beyond aesthetics. They influence adoption, efficiency, and growth at scale,” the panel stated.
Beyond his professional work, Temidayo has also contributed to the growth of the design community through mentorship and knowledge sharing. Through his hands-on involvement in guiding upcoming designers and sharing practical industry insights, he continues to support emerging designers while promoting higher standards within the industry.
Reflecting on the broader role of design in Africa’s growth, Temidayo added, “Africa’s digital ecosystem is growing rapidly, and design has a critical role to play in that growth. We need to build products that are not only functional but also accessible, intuitive, and globally competitive.”
