Osun Guber: I Deserve To Be Re-elected – Adeleke

Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his administration’s achievements justify a second term in office ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

Adeleke made the statement while hosting members of the Osun State chapter of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria at the Government House in Osogbo, where he presented a scorecard of his administration and expressed confidence that voters would renew his mandate.

According to him, the performance of his administration in these areas demonstrates that he deserves to be re-elected for another term.

Adeleke insisted that his leadership has been guided by due process and adherence to the rule of law in governance. He noted that his administration has focused on fair distribution of infrastructure projects across the state while ensuring transparency in public procurement and financial management.

He also highlighted policies such as merit-based teacher recruitment and prudent management of the state’s resources despite economic constraints, stressing that these initiatives were designed to improve service delivery and strengthen public institutions.

Looking ahead to the next election cycle, Adeleke said his campaign would be driven by an upgraded version of his administration’s five-point agenda.

The proposed agenda, he explained, would prioritize empowerment for youths, women, and workers, alongside expanded infrastructure development and agro-industrial growth to boost economic opportunities across the state.

He further pledged that his government would continue to focus on improving access to quality education, affordable healthcare, and a more secure environment that encourages investment and job creation.

The 2026 Osun State governorship election is scheduled to hold later in the year, with Adeleke seeking to secure a second term after winning the 2022 election.
