Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol, cutting its ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by ₦25 per litre.
The gantry price has been lowered from ₦799 to ₦774 per litre, with the new rate taking effect immediately, the company confirmed in a statement to marketers on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
According to the refinery, the adjustment is part of strategic pricing decisions aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of locally refined fuel compared with imported products.
Industry analysts say the move could help moderate retail petrol prices across Nigeria as marketers respond to the lower ex-depot cost.
Dangote Refinery’s change comes amid ongoing shifts in the downstream petroleum market following deregulation and fluctuating global crude prices.
The refinery’s capacity to supply large volumes of petrol domestically continues to position it as a key influencer of fuel pricing dynamics in the country.
