BUA Foods Plc announces executive leadership appointment

BUA Foods Plc has announced the appointment of Isyaku Abdulsamad “Khalifa” Rabiu as its new Chief Officer, Global Procurement and Strategic Operations, effective January 29, 2026.

The appointment is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its leadership structure and drive long-term operational efficiency and growth.

In his new role, Khalifa Rabiu will oversee BUA Foods’ global procurement framework while leading key strategic operations across the company’s value chain.

The position places him at the center of efforts to enhance cost efficiency, improve supply-chain resilience, and support sustainable expansion across all business segments.

Rabiu brings extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, and strategic operations within the BUA Group.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Director for Special Operations at BUA Group, where he played a critical role in major transformation initiatives.

His contributions included strengthening raw-material sourcing strategies, particularly wheat procurement, supporting the establishment of a high-capacity animal feed mill, overseeing the reintroduction of BUA rice into the Nigerian market, and driving digital transformation initiatives across operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc, Engr. Ayodele Abioye, said the decision reflects the company’s transition from consolidation to disciplined growth.

He noted that Rabiu’s experience and strategic insight would be vital in improving procurement efficiency and delivering increased value to customers and stakeholders.

Reacting to his appointment, Rabiu expressed enthusiasm about joining the executive leadership of BUA Foods at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.

Khalifa Rabiu holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Regent’s University London and a Master’s degree in Management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
