Governor Ademola Adeleke has been successfully documented as the Accord Party’s officially recognised governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election, the state chairman of the party has confirmed.
According to the Accord Party leadership in Osogbo, Adeleke’s nominating documents were properly uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), validating his status as the party’s flag bearer ahead of the August 8 poll.

The party chairman explained that there is no internal faction within Accord in Osun and dismissed claims of discord as opposition propaganda, affirming that Adeleke’s adoption into the party and subsequent documentation were conducted in line with party protocols and INEC guidelines.
This development comes after Adeleke formally joined Accord following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, a move that has reshaped the political landscape of the off-cycle governorship contest in Osun State.
