Rorisang Setlogelo has never been one to follow the script, she writes her own. As the Founder and CEO of Roth Media, she stands at the forefront of Africa’s creative evolution, leading a communications agency that dares brands to connect with people in more meaningful, human ways.
Her story is not just about building a company, it’s about transforming how Africa tells its own.
Born in Thaba-Nchu and raised in Bloemfontein, Rorisang’s roots are grounded in leadership and self-mastery, values she first honed at Eunice Girls High School.
What began as a third-choice field of study became her lifelong calling. After earning her BComm in Marketing from the University of the Witwatersrand, she sharpened her expertise with industry titans like Coca-Cola and South African Breweries, learning early that creativity and strategy are two sides of the same coin.
In 2011, Rorisang took the kind of leap only true visionaries take. She poured her entire provident fund into launching Roth Media, guided by conviction and a deep belief in her purpose.
That leap has since paid off. Roth now serves over 100 clients across finance, FMCG, entertainment, and tech, standing as a symbol of what fearless innovation can achieve. “You cannot run a successful business without prioritising creativity,” she says. “Innovation is the lifeblood of progress.”
Her leadership blends empathy and excellence in equal measure. Rorisang leads from within, collaborating, mentoring, and elevating her team to own their brilliance.
Through Roth, she has cultivated a culture that values authenticity and bold thinking, turning ideas into movements and brands into meaningful conversations.
Her brilliance and impact have not gone unnoticed. She was recognised among Forbes’ Under 40 CEOs, a nod to her trailblazing role in shaping Africa’s modern brand narrative and her bold contribution to the continent’s creative economy.
With her guiding mantra, “À cœur vaillant, rien d’impossible”, to a valiant heart, nothing is impossible, Rorisang Setlogelo continues to shape a new generation of African storytelling.
She’s not just building campaigns; she’s crafting legacies, proving that when purpose meets courage, there are no limits to what African creativity can achieve.
