Born on September 22, 1988, in Meru, Kenya, Nick spent his early years in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, before moving to Nairobi for his secondary education at Braeside School. He later earned a degree in International Business Administration from the United States International University Africa, laying the foundation for a career that would inspire and captivate.
Nick’s journey in entertainment began in 2008 with a role in the Citizen TV drama series Tabasamu, but his breakthrough came with the role of Leo in the MTV series Shuga, a character he reprised across multiple seasons.
He continued to showcase his talent and range in the 2014 Zuku series State House, portraying the spoiled yet compelling son of the president of Kenya, whose heart finds its way to unexpected love. Directed by the visionary Wanuri Kahiu, the series cemented Nick as a force to be reckoned with in African television.
In 2016, Nick brought to life Tomide in the acclaimed Nigerian web series This Is It, created, written, and directed by Dolapo Adeleke (LowlaDee). Following the first-year journey of young, naive newlyweds, Nick’s performance radiated charm, humor, and depth, earning him widespread praise.

Nick continued to shine in Kenyan film with the romantic comedy Disconnect (2018), directed by Tosh Gitonga, a film he also associate-produced. Premiering nationwide on April 21, 2018, it captivated audiences and showcased his ability to balance heart and humor on screen. That same year, he joined the fifth season of the popular YouTube series Skinny Girl in Transit, adding another layer to his impressive portfolio.
In 2019, Nick stepped confidently behind the camera, directing and producing his first film, You Again, under the banner of Giraffe Africa Films. He followed this with the Kenyan romantic comedy Sincerely Daisy in 2021, both producing and directing the Netflix-distributed film with his signature flair for storytelling.
Most recently, in 2024, he directed and produced the Showmax original series Big Girl Small World, further solidifying his status as a visionary creator in East Africa.
Beyond acting and filmmaking, Nick has left an indelible mark in radio and television. Starting at 1FM in 2012 as promotions coordinator and quickly rising to events manager, he discovered his passion for radio, hosting the beloved show The Chill Spot on 91.5 Hits from 2013 to 2015.
On television, he hosted Africa Magic’s premier lifestyle show Mashariki Mix, ranked among Africa’s most-watched TV shows, as well as the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards red carpet and nomination night. He also hosted the popular game show Zindua Chapaa in 2015, captivating audiences with his charisma and presence.
